Compared to the 125 Maserati Ghibli Spyders of the late sixties, the Maserati (4200) Spyders were produced in large numbers at the beginning of the new millennium. In reality, however, only just over 4000 were built over a period of six years. They were celebrated as the first real Maseratis for a long time and had an almost magical naturally aspirated V8 engine under the hood. This driving report tells the story of the Maserati Spyder and shows it in many pictures and in the sales literature.
