A drive in the BMW 320i Cabriolet from 1988 feels like a trip back in time, especially if you pop one of his mixtapes from the late 1980s into the cassette player's slot. Back then, Tracy Chapman sang "Talking 'Bout a Revolution" and it already looked a bit like a revolution in 1985 when BMW introduced the 325i convertible. After all, the range of full convertibles on offer at the time was fairly limited. Aside from the Alfa Romeo Spider, the Saab 900, the Mercedes-Benz SL (R107) and the Porsche Carrera, there were hardly any high-volume models, apart from the VW Golf or Fiat (Bertone) Ritmo convertibles and open-top Americans.
