Chassis The 512 M has the classic, traditional Ferrari tubular frame, based on variable section, chromiummolybdenum steel. It has been analyzed and tested to reach high torsional and bending stiffnesses. The performancetosafety ratio is enormous, above all for the extremely strong central safety cell, which is protected by energyabsorbing peripheral structures. Suspension is fourwheel independent, with unequallength, nonparallel whishbones, coaxial springs and gas dampers, and antiroll bars. The layout is racecar derived, widely tested and really unique, with the rear suspension equipped with twin, parallel dampers for each wheel.
